Hike to the Lost City
Our epic adventure in Colombia begins with a four-day hike that will take you deep into the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Each day we’ll hike for around 5-7 hours, passing through ancient villages, lush jungles and mountain passes. You’ll encounter stunning waterfall views, crystal-clear rivers and sweeping vistas.
Arriving at The Lost City (or Ciudad Perdida) is the high point of our trek. An ancient site older than Machu Picchu, The Lost City was once a thriving hub of the Tairona civilization that boasts stunning terraced platforms, intricate stone paths, and breathtaking views. But perhaps what makes it truly special is the spiritual significance it still holds for the local indigenous people. Only a limited number of people are given permission to visit each year, ensuring an immersive, almost mystical experience that is free from large crowds.
Recharge on the Jungle Coast
Comfortable, peaceful villas await after four days of hiking and camping. Our villas, located close to Tayrona National Park and the serene double-bay beaches of Playa del Cabo, will allow you to recharge, hang out by the ocean and explore more of the natural beauty of the Santa Marta region. There is no set itinerary (but plenty of optional activities!), giving you time to connect with the group, rest and relax by the pool, check out the park, and hike (or ride horseback) to the beach.
